Deep Tissue, Sports and Remedial Massage
Having had a passion for health and fitness from a young age, I felt that massage therapy was the next, natural step for me in my career.
Training and competing in both martial arts and athletics for many years, I accumulated numerous injuries which at first were frustrating, but allowed me to realise the importance of massage therapies; both injury prevention and rehabilitation.
This led me to qualify as a fitness instructor, training clients and teaching classes. As much as I enjoyed interacting with people and loved working in that environment, I felt like I had more to give and knew that qualifying as a massage therapist would allow me to support my clients further; especially after knowing how much I benefited from them previously.
Between fitness instructing and studying as a massage therapist I worked in an office, constantly on the phone and computer all day. Due to the stress of the job and environment I suffered agonising back pains in which I immediately turned to massage therapy and was amazed and grateful for the results.
I truly believe in massage offering so much more than just relief from pain and discomfort. Massage can assist in de-stressing, relaxation, improve range of motion, posture and circulation as well as lessen depression, anxiety and so much more.
I am now a qualified sports massage therapist and a member of the FHT - Federation of Holistic Therapists.
From the sportsperson to the office worker and all the in between, I love that I can help people on all sorts of journeys and assist them in their wellbeing.
I plan to continue learning new skills and giving more!
